Perceptor Inspection Technologies is a small experienced team that has a rich pedigree of OCR/OCV and 2D DataMatrix verification in high speed production environments.

When we started all those years ago in 2004, we were appointed as RVSI Acuity’s exclusive Value Added Reseller. Having installed many inline 2D systems throughout the late 90s we were very familiar with RVSI’s market leading products so got to know the challenges very well.

2D Data Matrix

As the inventor of 2D DataMatrix RVSI, they were pioneers in verification and low contrast high speed reading of 2D Data Matrix codes on applications such as Pentium processors (showing my age!), life sciences vial racks, inkjet cartridges, contact lenses, direct part marked automotive injectors and engines.

High speed vision inspection

Since 2004, our team has designed, developed and successfully deployed many challenging, high speed vision inspection systems across the globe. Our systems are inspecting millions of products every day in many diverse applications across lots of manufacturing sectors, including Automotive, Defence, F&B, Life Sciences, Medical Device and Pharmaceutical.

OCR & OCV

With the richness of OCR/OCV and 2D application know-how and bitter experience of trying to install a poorly designed and manufactured alternative, it seemed entirely logical and sensible that we embarked on developing our own market leading solution.

Having recognised the value of the unique overstrike capability I flew out to meet TSC Printronix in September 2019 and, following that meeting, our team started an intensive development program in November 2019.

Having successfully won the contracts and deployed multiple networked systems in Mexico, USA, Macedonia and Ireland, we are now super excited to be bringing to market Perceptor IoT, an unrivalled market leading label printing inspection and verification system with real-time duplicate check. Yes, you read it correctly. Every label is checked in real-time for duplicates no matter where the printer is in the world……all in the time it takes to print a label!

As a company we continue to grow, develop and deliver cutting edge 2D and 3D inspection systems for inline applications but we know we have something quite special and exciting in Perceptor IoT.
