What is Thermal Transfer Printing?

Thermal transfer printing is an extensively used printing process for the printing of labels with fixed and variable information, in both human readable and machine readable barcode formats, as well as graphics.

Through the application of heat, ink is transferred to a label substrate as it passes over the printhead.

Thermal transfer is compatible with numerous label substrates and media. Correctly matching the ribbon with your substrate material ensures high quality printing.
