Perceptor IoT and the powerhouse of Cloud infrastructure

When we’re asked how we develop, deploy and future-proof Perceptor IoT for our customers, we talk about our journey with Microsoft’s .Net framework - from the first development of the Perceptor label inspection and verification solution on .Net4 to our decision to migrate to .Net7 with all of the capabilities it brings for building world-leading applications and Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

We use Microsoft Azure to underpin Perceptor’s data confidentiality, integrity and availability. Azure provides secure user access through the Azure Single Sign On (SSO) and capacity for customers in compliant and non-compliant sectors who need always-on security and scalability without the heavy lifting associated with on premise servers and databases.

Microsoft Cloud is just one of the four so-called cloud powerhouses which includes Amazon AWS, the original innovator and leader of cloud infrastructure. So why have we chosen to work with Microsoft rather than AWS? As Bob Evans (Founder of Cloud Wars and Co-Founder of the Acceleration Economy) succinctly puts it:
